Serious Soil Work

The Beacon Hill Garden was the benefactor of four cubic yards of fresh soil this spring, which is a seriously heavy mound of soil.

Four people moved 85 percent in one day – beyond a good workout. Spreading the soil around plants was mostly finished the following weekend.

Nutrients were needed, as the last major soil amendment was at least 20 years ago. Soil delivered from Burien Bark cost just over $200. It was an excellent investment.

Update: See the big difference the soil made a year later with this post.

Spreading Fresh Dirt

Plants in the Beacon Hill garden seem to be enjoying all the fresh dirt.
