The Amazing Evergreen Snap Dragon

This is my most amazing Snap Dragon. It is an evergreen – at least for this year.

Snaps are sold as annuals, and they can perennial, meaning they come back next year after dying off. I’ve got them to last up to four years.

But this Snap Dragon kept its leaves all winter and bloomed in the spring, earning the title of evergreen. Impressive for an “annual.”

Blooms are great, even if the plant is more beat up than perennial neighbors. But, neighboring snaps didn’t endure Seattle’s soggy and chilly winter.

We’ll see if these evergreen Snaps can make it through another winter. I’m betting against it.
