Lobelia Dot My Garden

You will find Lobelia throughout my garden as its one of my favorite accent flowers.

The annual Lobelia came in white, scarlet, light blue and a deep blue this year. It makes a nice floral floor underneath and next two perennials. It blooms in shade and sun, but grows more in the sun and heat. They’re cheap, as I bought them five or six at a time in $1.05 value pack this spring.

One of my favorite flowers is my perennial Lobelia that has rich red blooms starting in July, peaking in August, and lasting into September. Each stem is about two feet high, and the flowers bloom from bottom to top.

The perennial Lobelia has been beautiful for each of its seven summers. If my garden had more sun bed space, I would definitely look for different colors.
