Starting Fall Off on Beacon Hill

The Beacon Hill garden was bright and lush on the first weekend of fall. A few plants were fading, but most continued to create vibrant colors.

For the first time we employed the strategy of filling in with annuals while waiting for perennials, shrubs and trees to mature. The annuals greatly increased the garden’s color level, especially on lower levels.
