Garden Officially Ends Nov. 29

Perennial Fuchsia

My Perennial Fuchsia blooms looked good in late November.

What little garden was left ended officially Saturday, Nov. 29 with snow followed by freezing temperatures in the 20s.

It’s an ironically chilly ending to a long gardening season that included record heat in July, August and September. Watering was more time-consuming and annoying than most Puget Sound summers. But, heat-loving plants had a great year.

Once temperatures reach the 40s again and the ground thaws, I’ll be back in the garden halving and moving plants. Garden 2015 will be under construction in a few short weeks.

Snowy Perennial Fuchsia

Perennial Fuchsia blooms are nearly finished Saturday, Nov. 30 after snow and freezing temperatures.
